Poised to open as Hawaii’s new urban resort destination late 2017, Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach will be a modern and tranquil oasis in the heart of Waikiki that pays homage to Queen Lili‛uokalani and Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage.

The $115 million redevelopment of the existing Pacific Beach Hotel spans the entire property from the exterior facade to all public spaces and 839 guest rooms and suites. Residing on land held by the Queen Lili’uokalani Trust, the property’s forthcoming name of Alohilani – Hawaiian for “the heavenly brightness” – was carefully chosen to honor Queen Lili’uokalani as Hawaii’s last reigning monarch.

Located just steps from the beach among oceanfront shops, eateries and activities, Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach features 839 newly-redesigned guest rooms and suites that are currently available with other upcoming enhancements to include a sophisticated lobby experience with a new lounge and bar; 280,000-gallon oceanarium brimming with sea life; new guest services and concierge areas, retail boutiques and group arrival lounge; two restaurants, including a tropical beer garden from celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto; a chic destination pool deck and bar with a saltwater infinity pool, five private cabanas, and tiered day beds overlooking Waikiki Beach; a separate kid’s pool and activity club; educational and cultural programming inspired by Hawaiian culture; and renovated meeting and event spaces.
