Cebu & Bohol

A Treasure Trove

Discover a rich history, eclectic culture and gracious hospitality in Cebu, serving as the perfect jumping-off point for more than 7100 tropical islets in the region. The second-largest city in the Philippines, Cebu City is also the oldest, dating back to Magellan's arrival in 1521. Known as the "Queen City of the South", Cebu City boasts several preserved historic landmarks, religious relics and museums.

Pay a visit to 16th-century Colon Street in downtown Cebu City, now overflowing with shopping malls, movie theatres and offices, or enjoy a choice of casinos, golf courses and beach resorts designed to keep visitors entertained. Renowned nearby attractions include the lagoons and caves of Calanggaman and Gato; Oslop and Carmen beaches; and popular dive spots, such as Moalboal, Mactan and Olango.

Sitting in the Vasayas group, south east of Cebu, lovely Bohol boasts all manner of historical and natural attractions, such as 16th-century churches, fine-sanded beaches with some of the rarest seashells, and the world's 'smallest monkey', the very cute tarsier.
