Negombo Beach - Stretching north from the the town in front of a stretch of beachside hotels, fringed with palm tress, making it a great spot to view an Indian Ocean sunset. 

Hamilton Canal - Constructed by the Dutch, this 14.5 KM waterway was built to move goods between trading posts. Passengers can take a boat ride along the canal, taking in the local life of the fisher families and the birdlife, monkeys and water monitors prevelant among the wetlands

Main Fish Market - Each day watch the oruvas (outrigger canoes) returning from a day's fishing, visit the fish auctions on the beach near the fort. Not only great for fish, but Negombo is famous for it's lobsters, crabs & prawns caught in the lagoon
